Jeremy Messersmith - Tatooine

This is indy-folk singer-songwriter + stop-motion animation + papercraft + Star Wars, so I am obligated to link to it.

When we were kids, my brother and I were convinced that the proper pronunciation was Tatoonie

Papercraft Self Portrait

Artist Eric Testroete has a project titled Papercraft Self Portrait - 2009

"I made this as my costume for Halloween 2009. It was kind of inspired by big-head mode seen in videogames. I really wanted to get the faceted geosphere look with wireframe."

It was done in the same style as Bert Simons

Jen Stark

Just like every pop musician wants to come up with the next infectious "earworm" hook, many artists are looking for the new "look" that will define them and differentiate them from all the others.

Jen Stark seems to have done that with her paperwork series. In the video on her site, she seems like such a normal, non-prepossessing person. Actually, most artists who are any good seem to have this quality.

Popup Books

Pop-up books have changed a lot since I was a kid.
Maybe it's because the ones I saw were from the library and were already all torn to pieces, but I had no idea that pop-up books had gotten as elaborate as they are now.

There is one 'paper artist' named Matthew Reinhart who has created a retelling of the traditional Cinderella tale.
